To keep you entertained and informed of practical usage of onomatopoeias, we will include information from a variety of what we feel are interesting sources. For example, we may take an expression from an excerpt from a magazine article or perhaps from a label of a Japanese household product.
We will then provide a detailed explanation of the epression's usage and also develop dialogues and other activites that are based on that expression. In turn, you will stay up to date on omomatopoeia usage in Japan and at the same time expand your ability to use such expresson in practical situations.
Coming soon to Nihongo Phonopoeia website is a montly newsletter. Plans are in place to release the first onomatopoeia newsletter sometime this Summer. The focus of the newsleter is to keep yoiu informed of ways onomatopoiec and mimetic expressions are being used in everyday life in Japan. In the process we hope to entertain as well as educate on whats happening in the world of Japanese onomatopoeia.
